Syllabus Context
Geometry is combined with Trigonometry in the Junior Certificate Curriculum to form Strand 2: Geometry and Trigonometry. It is appropriate that these topics are combined as they are very similar in their objectives and question style. Some of the learning outcomes of the topic are below. Students should be able to:
There is also a number of Theorem that pupils should be able to use to solve various problems. Pupils should be able to recall some of the theorems from memory for the exam (these are in BOLD).

Exam Context
Junior Certificate Geometry makes up two to three questions on the higher level exam, paper 2. The layout of the Project Maths paper does not designate a particular question number for topics but in recent years it has been asked in Question 3 & 4. A general understanding of the theorems, constructions, corollaries and leaning outcomes is required to solve problems. Pupils can also be asked to prove the theorems in bold, and construct any of the constructions listed to left. Exam Questions
